چکیده

Tumoral calcinosis is a rare clinical and histopathologic syndrome characterized by calcium salt deposits in periarticular soft tissue.1,2 Softtissue of juxta-articular upper limb (shoulder and elbow) and hip regions are the most commonly involved; however, spinal3-5 and temporomandibular joint6,7 involvement has also been reported. The extensor aspect of the joint is the usual site of the lesions, often connected with a synovial bursa.8,9 The rarest localization is in the popliteal space, with only one monolateral case reported in the literature.10 This article describes a rare localization of tumoral calcinosis in a patient with chronic renal failure on long-term hemodialysis therapy without metabolic phosphorus and calcium disorders. The lesions were bilateral and symmetrical in the popliteal space with neurovascular involvement and functional limitation.

Secondary Tumoral Calcinosis with Intraosseous Penetration

We report a case of a 55-year-old woman with chronic renal failure and secondary tumoral calcinosis with rare intraosseous penetration of the humerus. Typical lobulated calcifications with associated layering "milk of calcium" were present about the right shoulder and elbow on conventional radiographs, computed tomography images and magnetic resonance images. Rare appearance of cortical destruc...
